Will an LCD TV Work With My Old VCR? at Technical Reviews and Free Cellphone / Mobile downloads

An LCD TV intended for commercial purposes will by all means function with any video component that has standard audio/video, separate video (known as S-Video), or component video outputs. Moreover, majority of LCD TVs have digital visual interface (DVI) or high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) connections that can be used with HD sources. In addition, as they are thin and have flat panels, many LCD TVs have side-mounted connections. This makes it easy to connect them with your other components and cable or satellite TV unit.

The only point to bear in mind while using an LCD TV with a VCR is this: because the video home system (VHS) has very low resolution and color consistency, its quality may not be that good on a larger LCD TV as against a smaller 27-inch TV. Moreover, if the source of VHS is of low quality (for instance, recordings done in EP mode or under dim light), the LCD TV is likely to show more motion lags than with video input sources of high quality.
